Sorry to have to disagree with so many of the comments.
Do you get the choice as to whether to reserve your heart? I don't think you do. When you love somebody you love them and you don't get to choose.

If you refuse to reserve a space in your own heart for someone else, you are also closing yourself to further efforts made by someone. Just because someone doesn't yet realize how important you are, or doesn't have their priorities straight, doesn't necessarily mean that they'll always be in that predicament. It always takes two to make a relationship work, and that may include voicing your thoughts in order to open the other's eyes.
