Apparently, this photo isn't half as romantic as it appears. The chap in it was reportedly going up to every young lady he passed on the street and trying to kiss them, and for this particular kiss, he received a good slap on the cheek.
No matter the circumstances, I think the picture stands alone. My husband is a sailor and this just reminds me of how it feels when he comes home from a long trip...
